Last Friday was my MawMaw's birthday. On Saturday, my aunt Janelle, cousin Langeston and I celebrated with her at a sweet tea house (that is "sweet" as in groovy, not sweetened tea) in Navasota because...
My MawMaw is the best MawMaw in the world.
She’s patient, warm, hospitable, social, intelligent, giving, and loves Jesus very much.
She loves me too.
I hope we go back for high tea!
Crumpets? Heck yes!

I'm dreaming of a house. A house where I can hang these in the windows.
A house where I put my books.
A house where I can hang (probably crooked) whatever cabinets I want.
Here are some other cool ideas:

Sometimes it's just fun to think :)
I've been thinking about a lot of things recently. I'll write about them soon.

a little off key... (photo from flickr)
Most of the time I can effectively communicate what's swirling around in my head. Whether that be what the Lord is teaching me, what I'm excited about, or what's up to bat, I have a pretty good grasp on what's inside my head.
Not so much right now. The left and right sides of my brain have declared war on one another. Order and formulas vs. art and creativity.
Both sides are fighting for complete power, and it has turned me into a mush. I'm a big mush, tush, push, sush.
When did that happen? Probably when my job turned more task-driven than creative. Or maybe that's not it at all. I've always had times when the words didn't want to land on the page. They wanted to land in the trash bin and recycle box.
Oh how I hope they perfect their aim soon.
P.S. -- Nice times were had at home.
Nice, bice, tice times :)
oh boy.
If you read any good news stories, send them my way. I could use the inspiration. :)

I had a really great weekend.
A few friends and I had a mini reunion here in Goldthwaite. (pretty photo by Tamara)
Man, what a blast. It was nice just getting out of College Station. The Hill Country is so beautiful.
Yet even better than getting out of town was seeing my sweet Lubbock friends Tamara and Robin. They live so far away. It's hard to get together.
You know, I have really great friends. They're the kind you can both talk goof with and discuss important stuff. Looking back I can see how our friendship has grown. And as we've grown together, we've also grown in Christ. We encourage each other and tell each other what's up. I think that's so cool.
I laughed so much this weekend. We played this hide and go seek/tag game on bales of hay, jumped on the bridge and attempted to do lunges all the way across.
