Holler-hey!
Holler-ho!

The air crisp. The sun is shining, and I can almost imagine a bird singing outside my window. Today is a perfect day for a list.

A nice, clean, orderly list.

Things that I'm excited about today, April 11, 2008:
1. Crystal and Mason will be in CS soooo soon! (crazy soon)
2. We're going to a TEA PARTY (and I'm wearing a prettypretty dress)
3. Megan and Bud will be here on SATURDAY!!!
4. Got the boss' tickets to a Fightin' Aggie Baseball game. We'll be watching from hilariously good seats (and park next to the entrance).
5. We're going to party down at Auz and Mel's baby shower Sunday.
6. Studying Matthew 24.
7. My magazine is DONE for the month. I don't have to think about anything until my afternoon meeting to get the next one going.
8. Jason Castro '09 on American Idol-- WHOOP! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdnzKgq-B6Y)
9. My apartment smells like gingersnap granola.
10. I can play "G" on the guitar like a champ.

Sigh.
So good.

Something so very sad happened last week.

Something that makes my heart cringe.

And my ears burn.

And my tummy flipflop.

I broke...

I broke my camera.

Well, I broke my lens, tried to fix it, thought I had it, put it on the camera, it didn't work, and now it's stuck.

And now it's stuck.

Here's what happened: I was taking pictures on campus for work, was switching lenses, when the macro fell out of my hands. It broke into two pieces. Two. It's only supposed to be one piece.

Now, no more pictures. I have to mail it to a camera store. They estimate it will be 8-12 weeks before it's back in my home. Back in its home.

BooHiss.

I will be 24 tomorrow.

Oh boy. But before that, I'd like to think back on 23. The good things.

I quit my job as a reporter and got a new job

... and moved to College Station.

I ran a half-marathon.

I bought a car!

I got back into art and creating

and fell deeper with Jesus.

Let's see what 24 brings :)
